Meet the expert: Spring Edition

Meet the expert: part 2.

Welcome back to the blogging world students! For our unit on Women’s Rights, we once again have the opportunity to work with an expert on our subject, Miss Jen O’Mallery. Miss Jen is the leader of a women’s organization that meets at the Olean Library and the local community college. Miss Jen and her group members meet to discuss current issues, and review the issues of the past to see how they can help make a difference in the world of women’s rights. Miss Jen even attended the Women’s March on Washington back in January!

Once again, I will start the conversation with a comment posted below for our expert to answer. This will also be where we will post class generated questions from our lessons, group work, and questions you may want to ask on your own.

Happy Blogging Everyone!

  1. Miss Jen,
The class and I were wondering if you could tell us things that women are fighting for today, that they also had to fight for in the past.
    Thank you!

  4. Hello Miss Blanchard's class and thank you for the email with your first questions!
1)In the past, women were not allowed to work. Today, women's don't make as much money as men for doing the same job. This is something that needs to change! Women deserve equality in the work force.
2)The best part of being at the Women's Rights March on Washington was being with people who feel the way I feel. And I made new friends!
3)Women's rights= human rights. EVERYONE should be treated equally.
